City to Host Parks and Recreation Open House
The City of Oberlin will unveil draft recommendations of a Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan at an Open House to be held on June 23, 2011 at Mount Zion Fellowship Hall from 5-6pm. The Community is encouraged to stop in, speak with the planning consultants, and offer comments.
The overall intent of the Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan is to create a clear and concise set of goals, objectives, and action steps that will provide strategic direction for the future development and enhancement of the City’s parks and recreation facilities and programs based on public priorities.
Information at the Open House will include:
- A summary of existing conditions of park facilities and programming.
- An assessment of current recreational needs including a summary of a community survey.
- Preliminary recommendations for organizational improvements, programmatic enhancements, and facility upgrades.
